Lesson overview

The Aran Islands are located in Galway Bay. The three islands are Inis Mór, Inishmaan and Inisheer. Inis Mór, meaning “the big island”, is the largest of the Aran Islands. Because of its beautiful landscape, it is visited by tourists from all over the world. In recent years, cliff diving on the island has become very popular also. Inis Mór is part of the Gaeltacht Irish-speaking region. In this virtual experience, you will visit the Aran Islands.
